The Mindset Wealth Checklist

Sleep 7-8 Hours Daily

The first step on the mindset wealth checklist is to get enough sleep.

When well-rested, you make better decisions and have more energy to go about your wealth-building activities.

Sleep is also critical for maintaining your health, which is essential for wealth building since you can’t build wealth if you’re constantly sick.

Aim for 7-8+ hours of sleep each night. Establish a regular sleep schedule so your body can get used to it.

Lift Weights At Least 3x Per Week

Step two of the mindset wealth checklist continues to focus on staying healthy.

To me, lifting weights is the cheapest form of therapy, and it should be a mandatory part of your week.

Lifting weights will not only make you look and feel better, but it will help you every day in building wealth.

When you’re strong, you can better handle the stress that life throws your way and stay focused on your goals when things get tough.

I like to keep things simple when lifting and stick to compound movements like squats, deadlifts, pull-ups, push-ups and so on.

Read and Learn Every Day

The third step on the mindset wealth checklist is to make sure you’re constantly learning.

You can do this by reading books, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, taking online courses and more. My favourite time to listen to podcasts is when walking, running, or lifting at the gym.

You can grow as a person and expand your mind by continuously learning.

Plus, reading and learning allow you to develop new ideas for making more money and building wealth.

Drink More Water

This step is often overlooked but so important – drinking more water!

Water is essential for your health and proper brain function.

When you’re dehydrated, you’re more likely to make poor decisions and feel tired throughout the day.

Make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water daily, even more if possible.

Get Off The Phone

The fifth step on the mindset wealth checklist is to get off your phone.

I’m not saying you should completely disconnect and avoid social media or your phone altogether.

Try limiting your time spent on the phone. Spending too much time on your phone can lead to FOMO (fear of missing out), anxiety and other negative emotions.

It’s also a huge time-waster that prevents you from taking action towards your wealth-building goals.

So, put down the phone.

Many people mindlessly scroll through social media or play games on their phones when they should be doing something else.

If you find yourself wasting a lot of time on your phone, set some limits for yourself and make a conscious effort to use your time more wisely.

Go Outside and Experience Nature

Step six on the mindset wealth checklist is to go outside and experience nature.

Being in nature has been shown to have numerous benefits for your health, including reducing stress, improving your mood, and increasing your energy levels.

Nature can also help you feel more connected to the world and appreciate what you have.

So, make sure you set aside some time each week to go outside and experience nature, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Spend Less Than You Earn

The seventh step is to spend less than you earn.

Spending less than you earn may seem obvious, but it’s so important.

If you want to build wealth, you need to make sure you’re spending less money than you’re bringing in.

One of the best ways to do this is to track your spending and create a budget.

Doing this lets, you see where your money is going and make adjustments along the way.

Invest 10% or More of Your Income

Investing is one of the best ways to grow your money and build wealth over time.

Saving your money is not enough. You must acquire assets by investing in stocks, real estate, businesses, and in-demand skills.

The sooner you start investing, the better. But, it’s never too late to start.

If you’re not already investing, I recommend you start with 10% or more of your income.

Index funds are a great way to start investing because they’re low-cost and offer diversification. One of my favourite index funds through Vanguard is VTI.

Stay Optimistic; Things Will Work Out

Life has its ups and downs, but I’ve found things have a way of working out.

Negativity creates more negativity. Positivity leads to more positivity.

So no matter the challenges or obstacles you face, you have to find a way to stay optimistic and have faith that things will be okay in the end.

This mindset has served me well and helped me overcome some tough times.

I hope it does the same for you.

Create, Don’t Always Consume

Step ten of the mindset wealth checklist item is to create, don’t always consume.

In our society, you’re constantly sold with messages telling you to buy things. We are making it easy to get caught up in the mindset of consuming and acquiring more stuff.

But, to build wealth, you need to focus on creating instead of consuming.

Creating can take many forms, such as starting a business, writing a book, or investing in real estate.

Whatever you decide to do, ensure you’re focused on creating something of value instead of mindlessly consuming.

Learn From Others Who Are “Lucky” and Successful

The eleventh and final mindset wealth checklist item is to learn from others who are “lucky” and successful.

Successful people aren’t necessarily lucky; they know things and people you don’t know.

So, make it a point to learn from those who have already achieved what you want to achieve.

Read books, listen to podcasts, and attend seminars and events.

Learn from others to be successful

By doing this, you’ll be able to learn from the mistakes and successes of others so you can avoid making the same mistakes yourself.

You’ll also get new ideas and perspectives that will help you on your journey to success.

Just don’t envy or resent others.

That’ll only hold you back because you don’t know how hard they worked or what they went through to get what you see. Be happy for them and learn from them instead.

How Can Thinking Like a Wealthy Individual Help Me?

The way you think will determine the results you get in life.

If you think like a wealthy person, your chances of becoming one are much greater than if you don’t.

Millionaires know they can have anything they want if they are willing to put forth the effort. They believe in their ability to create wealth and don’t let anyone or anything stand in their way.

You can achieve any goal you set for yourself if you think like a millionaire. All it takes is dedication and hard work.

How to Develop a Millionaire Mindset

You can develop a millionaire mindset immediately through education, strategizing, and then by taking action.

Education is key when it comes to developing any skill set or mindset. In this case, you need to learn about personal finance and investing basics to make informed decisions with your money.

Once you have the education piece down pat, it’s time to create a strategy for managing your finances.

This may include creating budgets and savings plans and regularly tracking your net worth.

Finally, it’s time for action once you have the education and strategy! Start implementing what you’ve learned and see how your life changes for the better.

Remember, it’s not about how much money you make. It’s about how you manage the money you have.

If you want to change your financial future, start by changing your mindset first.
